The magnet is excessively strong however when I opened my umbrella, it broke and they only wanted to reimburse me half my money. They did eventually reimburse me the full price.

wind hit mine, knocked off unit and because the magnet is heavy the pole snapped. 2nd time using. the first day the thing fell off unit and hit the apprentice in the throat
