I'm 0% afraid of the the dentist for the actual procedures. I'm 100% scared of the dentist for the fact they try to ask me questions while I can't talk, and also the fact that my mouth is too small to get X-rays properly.

I am so still at the dentist I’m always working for a gold star for my behavior as if that’s even a thing, I’m waiting for them to announce one day that I’m the best behaved customer they have ever had and I make their job so much easier with how I hold my tongue back and don’t move my jaw

It is interesting how we have different thresholds of pain. I overheard a coworker talking about how painful an endometrial biopsy was and how she couldn’t believe she wasn’t sedated for it. I had had one, and while it was uncomfortable, it def. wasn’t something I would think sedation would be necessary for.
