@ryahgirlmom: It’s just a rash guard, but it’s cute, has lasted 3 summers through all 3 of my girls, and saves knees and toes at the waterpark. Full sun coverage = worth it #momhacks #toddlerproofsummer #babyswim #babysummer

You all know saving money on sunscreen doesn’t mean she’s not using it at all, right? She’s using less sunscreen on her baby cause less of the body is exposed, therefore she’ll go through less containers of sunscreen than when the baby is wearing a more traditional swim suit that exposes more skin.

Yes swimwear for toddlers she be about sun safety not baby bikinis as a fashion statement. we even have a swim suit material sun hat that stays on, has a visor to shade the face and covers the ears and neck but still allows a breeze in.

Everyone is being silly worried about heat. I work construction and we all wear long sleeves, jeans or cargo pants, wool socks, cowboy boots, sombreros, and additional PPE. You don’t over heat even when it’s 97° because the clothes turn into a swamp cooler. Your sweat and the humidity wets them and it keeps you cool. Most people don’t wear clothes like that in the summer because you get stinky if you are soaked in sweat but it’s definitely way more comfortable than having the sun on your skin where your sweat just evaporates.

This is exactly what my pediatrician recommended instead of using sunscreen, just keep skin covered!

I have this same swimsuit for my toddler, and it makes it so much easier to keep their skin safe from the sun because I only need them to stand still long enough to get what little skin is exposed rather than their whole body.
