This movie is categorized and presented as a romance film, but it is very much a horror film, where a man manipulates the situation so that he can trap a woman with him for the rest of their lives. The danger with films like this is that it shows men that dynamics like this are OK and that it will get them the girl when in reality this is stalker and sociopathic behavior that is never justified or OK.
