The teenage years were the hardest years. And I thought I had done it all correctly. I raised them in church. I can look back now and see where I made compromises, as I tried to make up for the loss of their dad. He died when they were young and o was a single mom trying my best. But yes I agree with everything you are saying. We must have authority! And discipline and consequences are biblical. I spent many days on my knees in prayer and crying, I took my daughter’s door off the hinges to her bedroom when she was sneaking out of the house… she gave me hell for years, but now she is a woman of God. She is married and she has a son and is an amazing mother.
