Quick guide to how I built this DIY coffee table 🌟Find pallets- Facebook marketplace is great for this. I used 2 for the table and took some slats off a third to fill gaps on the top pallet to create a better base for the tiles. 🌟Sand the pallets- I paid particular attention to the edges as the top and bottom wouldn’t be visible. 🌟Paint - I used a Valspar wood garden paint in Raspberry Cream 🌟Attach the pallets together - I used wood glue and sunk a couple of screws in for good luck! 🌟Add castor wheels - screw into the base at corners 🌟Tile - I used premixed, all in one adhesive & grout, which is such a game changer, it saves so much time and perfect for moving fast in the heat. Once you have cut your tiles, use spacers between each one. Make even lines of grout and use a level to check each tile as you lay it. Make sure you work fast and wipe off excess. Make sure to follow adhesive instructions for amounts and wait times. 🌟Grout- work in sections, put the grout on gradually at 45 degree angle and fill the gaps between the tiles. Smooth off the excess in a diagonal movement. Wipe off excess grout, don’t wait longer than 20 mins. You can fill in any missed patches with your finger if needed. Clean the tiles fully after the grout has set according to the instructions. What do you think? Would you try making a pallet coffee table? * I am planning to use this as an indoor coffee table too, so make sure to choose tiles and grout that is for outdoors use if you need something hardy. #dopaminedecor #colourfulhome #DIY #upcycling #gardenmakeover #girlswhodiy
