Sherman, a 53 year old nurse and mother of four, was stabbed to death in downtown Cleveland in 2013 while waiting outside Moore’s office for a meeting related to her divorce case. Prosecutors allege Moore orchestrated the killing to delay the upcoming divorce trial and later lied to investigators about his actions. Moore has pleaded not guilty and his defense team argues there is no DNA linking him to the murder. His attorneys are seeking additional DNA testing and have suggested that another person may have been responsible for Sherman’s death, pointing to evidence they believe could identify an alternate suspect.
