it’s so interesting bc i watched this woman order and didn’t think much of it. She knew what she wanted and was quick to the point. I’m a server and i don’t find her rude one bit. Please and thank you is always appreciated but that’s not the only way to be polite to your wait staff.

Yall soft in here. She was perfectly cordial. Don’t need to overdo pleasantries when placing an order. She was direct and efficient, which is the most polite thing you can do to a waiter who is trying to work quickly.

I’m too Canadian for this! No please or thank you after each request. saying “no” instead of “no thank you”. Saying “I’ll have, I’m gonna have” instead of “may I or can I”. And no eye contact. 😭

as someone who works i. food industry, shes not being rude just bc shes not saying pls/thank u or not making eye contact. we dont care abt that. she didnt give the server a hard time & knew exactly what she wanted with no questions asked. 10/10 customer imo it makes my job 100% easier

She actually was very nice and friendly, DID say please. When I was a waitress, I didn’t count pleases and thank yous, it was about vibes and being generally nice. The Midwest in me throws in a please after every request, but I don’t think this is nearly as bad as people want to be making it

I was a waitress for a long time-like 30+years. She is pleasant, knows what she wants, and is clear. I have no issues. She said please. We didn’t see the very beginning or end of the exchange. Seems lovely to me.

No eye contact, no yes please no please, no thank you, asking for a small which most places it doesn’t work like that you just get a regular cup that everyone else gets. I’m a server and this is just sad tbh. Maybe she’s really sweet otherwise but I’m always disappointed when ppl do this

This is the perfect way to order, straight to the point and a please. No need to add please and thank you after every item. And that’s just the way that generation often talks. My grandpa talked the same way and was the sweetest person and would often strike up a conversation and joke with everyone he came into contact with. So much easier to take someone’s order that’s clear and concise. She’s not being rude. Maybe could have added a thank you at the end but the video cuts right after she asks for bacon so we don’t really know if she did or not.
