@truetestwear: At first I thought this hook was ridiculous. "The thief on the cross ruins every religion." How could one random criminal possibly do that? Then I actually looked at his story. Think about it. If anyone should have been hopeless... it was him. A criminal. Publicly condemned. Dying for his crimes. And unlike everyone else, he wasn't getting another chance. No time to rebuild his life. No time to fix his mistakes. No time to become a better person. Just a cross. And a few final hours. Then something strange happens. While one thief spends his final moments mocking Jesus... the other turns toward Him. Not with a long prayer. Not with a lifetime of good works. Just a simple request: "Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." And Jesus responds: "Today you will be with Me in paradise." Wait. How? That's the part nobody talks about. The thief couldn't spend years serving God. He couldn't earn anything. He couldn't prove himself. He couldn't even get down from the cross. So what exactly saved him? The answer makes a lot of people uncomfortable. Because the thief had absolutely nothing left to offer God. No achievements. No reputation. No religious résumé. The only thing he had left... was faith in the man hanging beside him. That's why the thief on the cross is so important. Because he forces every person to answer the same question: If salvation could be earned... why wasn't he hopeless? "Today you will be with Me in paradise." - Luke 23:43 Comment "Thief" if you've never thought about this before. . . #bible #jesus #scripture #understandchrist #TrueTestament
Finally someone understands. He didnt have anything to offer at that time but believing that He is truly the Son of God.

He wasnt hopeless because he accepted God. The only sins that cant be forgiven is the sin of not accepting Jesus, thus youre not going to paradise

Its just like the “I ask my gf for $500 and get $500, but I ask my bro for $500 and I get $234.56 that really says something.” Even when you’re not doing good or have “nothing” to offer but you give him your last of words, faith, or time that means you give him your everything. The thief had nothing and in the eyes of the world and that time period, he had no reason whatsoever to believe that Yahweh was the messiah and savior, yet he did and planted his last mustard seed in him.

Naaaa, whoever came up with this never understood Christ or the Christian faith, you don’t earn or offer up Sth for your salvation, it’s free, you accept it by faith. The life you then live afterwards is a response to Gods love in salvation, not trying to work for it or make atonement for your past life, Jesus blood did that already. Everything written here is opposite to the faith

building a theology on a pre new covenant exception is outright Ludacris. especially when God establishes rules for you to follow (post new covenant). if you ignore what God asks of you, you aren't being the thief, you are being judas. hope this helps.

A single moment of faith at the hour of your death can save you, but you have to give your all to the Lord.

No matter the story God is there and he’s waiting on you to turn to him. He wants you and all your broken pieces.

i mean this is just a complete misunderstanding of the bible and Christianity the whole point is that the ONLY thing that can save you is accepting in the spirit all other service is evidence of that and is facilitated by that, but not what counts in all totality

Glory to God.🔥 That's is what faith is, when you are drowning in water and still reach your hand out. and it's one of the hardest things to man.

you said he has nothing to offer but that's not true . He has something which God wants and Jesus died for , Which is his soul . And that very point there will be Joy in heaven because a man has consciously and remorseful given his soul to God . I hope you understand that everything is deafeated if the death of Jesus on the cross can't reconnect your soul to God here on earth and in heaven

how? the path to God is still Jesus - he was the one who told today you will be with me in paradise. No way but Jesus. other religions reject Jesus.

Salvation is a gift, it’s not earned by your works or abstained from sin. The only way to be saved is to have faith in Jesus that he alone is Lord. And that was exact what the thief did. Obedience to the laws, fruits of the spirit and abstinence from sin are evidence of your salvation not the reason for it. Jesus never preached “stay away from sin” he preached “come to me/ believe in me” because he alone can take away those sins
