It honestly scares me how people quickly jump to conclusions now and don't address their confirmation bias when they see a post in media regarding someone online, people are so easily swayed and they might jump the bandwagon because others are going along with it. We need to learn to think for ourself, because I understand what people mean when they point out a media literacy crisis. The way people immediately make a definitive decision before questioning, engaging in critical thinking and attempting research scare me. We need to learn to think for ourself instead of always catch ourself doing groupthink, it's quite alarming to me that I see this a lot. It reminds me when people immediately attacked Chappell Roan over what another celebrity claimed about her before getting her side of the story, just to get confirmation from that celebrity that he blew it out of proportion. And people bullied a woman over absolutely nothing.

Thought I’d share how misinformation from the tabloids spread especially with the Michael Jackson trial. The more trivial the headline the more likely people are to tune in! They don’t care about the truth but money! As someone who’s studied scandals in university, there’s always an ulterior motive to how the media reports on certain events.
