I hope it didn’t take a toll on the boys mentally because Broos lacked courage by not sticking to the teams identity and that made the guys look bad, we’re not a defensive team bro, I wouldn’t even play back 5 against Spain or France because we play better when we go band for band with our opponents, not shy away from competition

Horses for courses. I can't fault Broos for that formation. The players need to adapt and stick to the coach's plan. A diff formation would have allowed Mexico more freedom of movement and easily hit Bafana for six. Had the match been drawn, it'd have been a great result, Mexico would be forced to beat the next opponent and Bafana needing only one win from two. There are 8 slots for 3rd placed team. All is not lost but if Bafana lost with more goal diff the chances were reduced. Chances are some teams will qualify to the next round with 2pts. 🙈
