Our family received it. And nothing, nothing prepared us for what that feels like. She has spent her entire life being there for people. Showing up. Giving. Caring. She never needed to be asked twice. She never made you feel like you were a burden. She just loved people, openly and without limits. And now I am watching her fight for her life. The treatments are happening. The appointments are constant. The decisions are impossible. And underneath all of that, there is a financial weight that keeps growing, every single day, quietly making everything harder. I am her son. I am doing everything I can. But I cannot do this alone.
