I don’t understand why parents get so mad about their child’s hair???? I have always let my kids pick their hair style/color. We don’t even cut my 8 yr old grandson’s hair until he wants it cut!!!

i hate that the issue is always deflected on to the stylist. It’s not their job to know if a client isn’t being 100% truthful. They’re there to provide the service requested and make the client happy while maintaining boundaries.

I will never understand the desire to control hair. my daughter and her bf just dyed their hair purple, before that it was blue. we have done almost ever color of the rainbow, short hair, long hair. one even shaved her head once.

My mom used to force me to keep my hair virgin so I could donate it, so my grandma took me to get the tackiest chunky highlights we could to essentially ruin my hair for that purpose. My mom was so frustrated, but she got the hint. I was allowed to do what I wanted to my hair from then on, and I would threaten her with the skunk stripes whenever she complained about my pink hair.

my mom was like this so when i hit 18 i started doing colorful colors and now my girls have always seen me do colorful colors in my hair, I told them its a way to express myself and when they want they can do theirs to! ( the FIRST time I put color in hair)

My daughter's hair at age 10. she also had half her head shaved. it's hair. Kids don't have much they can have control over, so I always let them do what they want with their hair
