Dental hygienist here, YES you are supposed to go up that far. That’s why so many people have gingivitis and periodontitis, you’re not going up there and removing the germs. Then the germs get to build up and build up, building their apartment complexes 😅

yes you guys are supposed to be flossing that high, even if it’s bleeding it will stop after a few days of flossing like this regularly every day and night. it helps beat bad breath, gingivitis, calcium build up, teeth movement, etc.
