@graceingrief: some stories begin long before we know we’re living them. this is mine. seeing Depeche Mode play at TD Garden in 2023 could never have prepared me for what was to come ….grief does things to your timeline that nothing can prepare you for. depeche mode has been the soundtrack to my life for as long as i can remember. the kind of music that reaches the parts of you that nothing else can. the kind that makes you feel deeply understood. losing my daughter elana collapsed everything i thought i knew about time, about life, about what was still possible. grief has a way of making you feel invisible. like the world keeps moving and no one really sees the weight you’re carrying. and then, in the middle of all of that darkness, i had the privilege of meeting martin gore - @Depeche Mode Fanpage, a moment that I will cherish forever. he didn’t have to do what he did. he didn’t have to show up the way he did. but he met me exactly where i was — in the grief. in the love. in the loss. he showed up with the kind of humanity and empathy that you never forget. i am forever grateful for what he did for me in that moment. for what he did for my daughter, elana. #depechemodefans #personaljesusdepechemode #childlossgrief #grievingaloss #depechemodedevotees
