there was stories I read a long time ago of a "prairie rex" a small short faced 2 horned dinosaur like reptile that settlers ran into. It looked like a very small Carnosaurus.

Short answer: yes, but not living dinosaurs. Places like Arizona and New Mexico are prime spots to observe dinosaur SPIRITS. There’s a ranch in New Mexico where on certain nights when the moon phase is right dinosaur spirits come out and dance. All kinds too but mainly tiny raptors.
