Zero Two :
After rewatching Darling in the FranXX five years later, I finally understood why the ending is so beautiful. When I first watched it, I only wanted Hiro and Zero Two to survive and live happily together. But now I realize the story was never about a happy life.. it was about an ETERNAL LOVE. Throughout the entire anime, they chose each other again and again, no matter the pain, the distance, or the sacrifices they had to make. The reincarnation ending is what makes it so powerful, even after everything ended, fate brought them back together in another life, proving that their bond was never tied to a single LIFETIME. They found each other once, lost each other, and then found each other again. To me, that's far MORE ROMANTIC than simply growing old together (which is manga ending). It means their love wasn't temporary it was TIMELESS. And maybe that's why, even after five years of trying to move on, I couldn't. Because some stories don't stay in your mind because of how they ended. They stay because they make you believe that certain connections are so deep that not even time, death, or a new life can erase them.
