Slippery slope. The mornings are fABUlOuSsSS. When it starts wearing off in afternoons I become aggravated/mad/moody for no reason. If I take a smaller (second) dose to get me through the day, I don’t sleep.

It worked great at first. Until it causes a lot of other issues. Made me angry. Moody. Caused me to lose a lot of wait and made me very paranoid.

Nah it’s magic at first then it doesn’t work and u chase the same feelings you used to feel taking them. But when u quit them ur brain wants them so u take them but still don’t get back to the beginning so idk why I’ll take them again.

I’ve been on my first prescription ever for about a week and a half and I’ve never felt better. No crash, still sleep fine, but now the house is in order and I’m ready for long work days. Needed it so bad!

I’m prescribed it and it just makes me feel “normal” lol. No odd side effects other than it helps me get through normal tasks without feeling like life is too overwhelming. I think that’s a sign you actually need it though?

1 year and 6 months later here… lost a ton of weight (not necessarily a bad thing) but I also lost my personality. Also fried my brains natural dopamine receptors. Learning how to get back to normal day by day. Having to relearn how to feel normal pleasures.

I just started mine after 33 years of being undiagnosed. it is what I imagined an antidepressant would be. I just feel happy to be here and have motivation now.

I’ve been on 60 mg of adderall daily since I was 18… I’m almost 36 now. I mean, I can live without it but I’d rather not lol I’m also ADHD.

Concerta changed my life. If you have ADHD, it’s such an amazing support.

My Adderall makes me feel great!! But it’s hard to tell whether it’s “euphoria” or just “normal”. One thing I’ll say is that I DO have a very addictive personality, but I don’t find Adderall addictive. I skip weekends and sometimes even forget to take it on weekdays if I’m feeling particularly rested. so idk 🤷‍♀️Also I have never experienced any sort of comedown

Look as someone whose quality of life has improved drastically- it’s at a cost. Your gonna use up your feel good chemicals a lot faster and have less on deck for your brain to use later on. It makes me feel like crap when it’s wearing off and makes me irritable. However being able to hold a full time job makes the pros outweigh the cons. Try not to get to the point where it’s the only way you can be productive

Diagnosed and prescribed a few months ago at age 33, and it’s been great. I’ve been able to take actual naps for the first time in years and I’m not constantly overwhelmed.

I’m 45 and just got diagnosed. I’m prescribed 10mg. I’ve only been taking it a little over a week but wow, I am actually able to function. It got to where I didn’t want to do anything but sit on my couch. I’d go to the gym because I feel good after working out. I have so much more motivation and I’m not overthinking everything constantly.

Just go get diagnosed first. I take it every day and I’m a much better human for it. I get nothing done if I don’t take it. A lot of women don’t get diagnosed until later in life. I was in college. Not diagnosed because I masked so well. Do what’s best for your life not what people say. There’s always someone judging for something. 🥰
