@lyssa.hamblin: tbh, this 💩 accident was on me - with Oscar being nonverbal, he can’t just ask to use the bathroom & he has a baby lock on his doorknob because he loves to be independent (and leave the house to go play at any time of the day / night 🥲 - in fact our house is looking more & more like Fort Knox… Oscar may have escaped 2x last week, one of which was for nearly 5mins and we were in full panic mode, he found some dirt and was playing with not a care in the world one door down 🫩) anyways, once I saw motion detected in his room on his camera, I went running and was about 3 seconds too late. highly considering installing a button that can say “bathroom” or perhaps a doorbell so we can teach him to use that to indicate he’s awake. (no clue if that’ll work but worth a try since the motion cam lags a bit - after all these 💩 incidents happen so fast 🥲) on a brighter note I ordered this new BISSELL cleaner & the steam mode cut the normal cleaning time nearly in half (however, this one doesn’t have a “self-cleaning” head attachment to clean the hose so that is a bit of a bummer, one of the smaller ones comes with it and I assumed this one did 🥲) I gave my psychiatrist a run down of this past week & she told me she felt my pain & how she lost all 12 of her baby bunnies 2x this week because they too keep finding ways out even when it seems foolproof (seems odd, but I totally got the analogy). not entirely sure how we got here, but I guess here’s to a new week of no lost Oscars, no lost bunnies, and more stamina. 🤪🤣🫶🏼🫂😮‍💨🐇 (also I hope those in this boat don’t feel as alone seeing more of us parents that get the whole smearing & severe autism trials 🤍) #severeautism #profoundautism #autismmom #caregiver #caregiving
