For all people commenting 'AI' and not using the coconut -> Mount Everest is often called the world’s highest open-air graveyard because recovering bodies at extreme altitude is incredibly dangerous and expensive. More than 330 people have died on Mount Everest since climbing records began. It is estimated that around 200 bodies still remain on the mountain. Some are buried under snow or ice, some have fallen into crevasses, and others have been moved off the main climbing routes. The most famous bodies 1. Hannelore Schmatz (“The German Woman”) * German climber who died during her descent in 1979. * Her body remained visible for many years sitting upright with open eyes before wind and ice eventually moved it.
