@almostadison: These are some of the words that carried me when I couldn’t carry myself. The last almost two years have held more grief, fear, trauma, uncertainty, and growth than I ever could have imagined. Birth trauma. Medical motherhood. Marriage. Making a living. Raising children while still learning how to care for myself. Trauma takes its toll. And yet, scattered throughout the hardest moments were people who showed up with words I desperately needed to hear. “You did it, mama.” “I’m here for you. No, really.” “You’re carrying a lot. I see it.” “This wasn’t your fault.” “You deserve care too.” Simple words. But it’s the simple words keeping me going. Lately, I’ve had several friends reach out out of nowhere—just to remind me that they care, that they see me, that I matter. Those messages have helped me more than they probably realize (you know how you are 🫂). The Lord knows I’ve needed them. So if you’ve ever spoken life into me, checked in on me, prayed for me, loved my family, or reminded me of my worth when I struggled to see it myself—thank you. And if you’re in the trenches right now, I hope you know this: You are not alone. This Monday I’m hosting a Birth Trauma Support Group, available both in person and virtually. We only have a few spots left. If you’re carrying a story that feels heavy, if you need a place to be seen, supported, and reminded that your experience matters, we’d love to have you there. Love you all. 🤍 #birthtrauma #birthtraumaawareness #birthtraumahealing #momsmentalhealth
