@mirx.hk: Another ruler with Turkic roots, Alauddin Khilji, and then people start yelling ‘my ancestors..bleh bleh bleh...you don't know anything you're not a Turk’.. like yeah sure ok😭. I swear we probably had more Turkic ancestors than anyone—every time I look at history, it’s just links to Timurids, Khiljis, Mughals, and every other empire under the sun. Like okay bro, relax with the ancestry flexing . . . . . . Alauddin Khalji (c. 1266–1316), also known as "Sikandar-i-Sani" (“The Second Alexander”), was one of the most powerful rulers of the Delhi Sultanate. He belonged to the Khalji dynasty and ruled from 1296 to 1316 after succeeding his uncle, Jalaluddin Khalji. Alauddin earned the title "Sultan of Delhi" and adopted the honorific "Sikandar-i-Sani" to emphasize his ambition of becoming a great world conqueror like Alexander the Great. During his reign, he successfully repelled several Mongol invasions, expanded his empire across northern and central India, and brought large parts of the Deccan under his influence through the campaigns of his general Malik Kafur. He introduced significant administrative, military, and economic reforms, including strict market regulations, price controls, and a centralized revenue system that strengthened the state's finances and enabled the maintenance of a large standing army. Alauddin also sponsored important architectural works, including the Alai Darwaza and the city of Siri in Delhi. Though his rule was characterized by strict governance and harsh punishments, he is remembered as a capable, ambitious, and effective ruler whose policies greatly strengthened the Delhi Sultanate and left a lasting impact on medieval Indian history. . . . . . . . . . . . #creatorsearchinsights #ranveersingh #fyp #History #padmavat
