To every child who hates their parents because they get hit:
Your feelings are real. Being hurt by someone you love can make you feel angry, scared, or unloved. No child deserves to live in fear, and it's okay to wish for a safer, kinder way to be disciplined.
To every parent:
Many parents discipline their children because they want to teach, protect, or correct them. Some were raised the same way and believe it is the right approach. However, even when the intention is love, physical punishment can leave emotional wounds that last a long time. Children often remember how they were treated more than the lesson itself.
For both parents and children:
Families make mistakes, but understanding each other's feelings is the first step toward healing. Parents should strive to guide with patience, respect, and communication. Children should also try to understand that parents may be carrying stress or repeating what they experienced growing up,but understanding does not mean accepting harm. The strongest families are built not on fear, but on love, trust, and open conversation.
