Before anyone judges. Please go down and take a look of the conditions of the cycling lane and ask yourself would you be riding a bike there at 25kmh. You see the cyclists hugging as close to the lane as possible. Not in the middle of the road. They obviously want to be as safe as possible. Who doesn’t want to be safe and in the protected cycling lane? If they are on the main road it means it’s more dangerous being on the cycling lane.

The bicycle lane is NOT in the right condition anymore for any cyclist to be cycling there with all the gravel, sand and rubbish. This has been reported many times to the LTA yet nothing is done. As cyclists , they do need to ensure their own safety as well.

Gov should charge road bike user road tax. So authorities got money to clear gravels for cyclists.

The condition of the cycling lane is horrible compared to the road the cycling lane can risk of gravel, dirt and tire punctures

Bicycle lanes are poorly maintained and in Japan, we can use as much of the road as possible for safety
