Bro u nailed the comparison of how we (football fans) see basketball. It’s like “oh hey they scored again… and again… and again…” It just feels like taking turns. Once you understand football, the tactics and the dribbles get a lot more value. I think, if i have to explain it in simple terms, you can see it as; in basketball, there is a lot more happening. Which is cool, but can me overstimulating to a point. But football is more like a slow burn, which makes a goal or a successful dribble much more exciting. Thats what makes it so addictive imo.

When you understand the sport well enough, not just the chance to score is exciting. There’s more subtle things like retaining the ball, winning it back, winning a throw, a good press that get me more excited than seeing my team pass the ball around the 18 for 10 minutes straight
