Arabian fragrances mean a lot of blind buying, so I try to read and watch as many reviews as I can to see if a scent is for me. I was very attracted to Lattafa’s Sakeena and the main things I took from the reviews were jam, sweet, rotting fruit. While I can smell all of that, it’s not exactly how I imagine this fragrance to be. The presentation and the bottle are absolutely stunning! Middle Eastern brands know how to make the right presentation. If not for scent, I would still want this bottle on my vanity for its beauty. When I first sprayed Sakeena, I was a little surprised. I smelled everything I’ve heard about it, but the whole mix was such a unique one. I have never smelled a perfume like this. It is very sweet, but not in a sickly way. I think for me it smells like a jar of berry jam that stayed open in the fridge for too long and started molding. My second impression of Sakeena is of overripe berries that fell to the ground and are covered in dirt. In both cases that mold/dirt note was both very pulling and pushing to me. It almost bugged me, so I didn’t touch the fragrance for a few days, but I kept thinking about it. When I sprayed it next, I still smelled everything, but nothing was bothering me in the scent. It is a very unique fragrance and I can see myself wearing it all year round. Top notes: -passionfruit -ozonic notes -mandarin orange Middle notes: -raspberry -rose -orange blossom -sea salt Base notes: -praline -toffee -vanilla -musk . . . #arabianfragrances #middleeasternfragrance @lattafaperfumes #lattafa #lattafaperfume #lattafasakeena #sakeena #newfragrance #fragrance #sotd
