If it’s full of dirt, dead bugs, and mystery debris, that house hasn’t had a real deep clean in a long time. 6. Light switches and door handles. The most touched surfaces in a home. When they’re yellowed and grimy, buyers notice immediately. 7. Air vents. Black dust around the vents usually means the HVAC filter hasn’t been changed in months... maybe longer. That’s a red flag for buyers thinking about air quality. 8. Inside the oven. Burnt residue, crusted spills, smoke stains on the door. Buyers open the oven during showings... every time. 8. The dishwasher filter. Most people don’t even know it exists. Pull it out, and it’ll tell you exactly how the home has been maintained. Here’s the truth: Buyers don’t just buy the house.
