@allyiadriving: first day they paired me with him everybody warned me but nobody explained why they just said he “wasn’t over losing his old partner” i thought they meant the guy retired no they meant obsession the second i got in the truck he grabbed this framed photo off the dash and looked at me like i already disappointed him all shift he kept staring at it crying whispering saying his old partner would’ve been a better driver and “wouldn’t be doing the lizard off duty” then at every gas station he showed strangers the photo and told them i could never compare cashiers mechanics random people pumping gas then he started calling me by his old partner’s name and getting mad at me for answering last night he cried so hard i had to pull onto the shoulder hugging the frame saying trucking died when his partner left then he looked at me and said people would understand why he can’t even look at me if they knew what i do off duty bro i’m 21 you’re 59 and i still have 3 more shifts with him
