There is a phone called Fairphone that is completely AI free, doesn't run on android or apple. It's privacy settings are made so you can't be tracked whilst on the internets

Also, don't just ditch perfectly good phones and buy new! just, tweek as much as you can on your settings so you can disable as much as you can Google is no longer my default browser, all AI options that can be toggled off are toggles off, enable data processing just on your phone, disable all search and ad setting for google, slowly switch up things you can from the google ecosystem. its annoying, but its a way y'all can still use your current phones

I love GrapheneOS, I love my Linux desktop and laptop. I love using OpenStreetMaps, Signal and NewPipe. I love how beautiful KDE Plasma is. I can’t imagine living the standard way anymore. Open Source is so much fun. I learned so much about computers, society and myself. Don’t be afraid to learn.

Yo, everybody saying you can't game on Linux: I game, from steam and GOG, on my Linux machine, every single day. I am actively gaming right now on my Linux machine. Stop telling people they can't switch to Linux if they're a gamer. My games literally run better on Linux.

But people are missing the fact that as soon you Download a meta app, Google /gmail, TIKTOK, and over 1000 other apps (from health & period trackers to maps and games), you're back to being tracked and surveilled. if you're going to do it, it's a phone and that's it.

I dislike people immediately recommending Linux to people who really shouldn't or can't use it. I firmly suggest a middle step, which is changing some of the apps you're using (like creator said, open source) and using PowerToys and Winaero Tweaker. When you want more, and have done more research on what you want, and you desire to do so, then go to Linux. This pushing towards Linux is helping no one and is just making it seem more dangerous to people who don't know much.

I have a friend who's never owned a cell phone. he has a 2014 iPod touch that can connect to the internet and uses wifi whenever he's out to message people on discord when needed. he just shows up places.

"Open source" is a term of capitalism. "Free software" of fsf.org has existed for much old and advocates for user freedom. The same applies to Linux; Linux is just the kerne. the name of the system is GNU.
