some students make honest mistakes, it’s a stressful time. even though i don’t think it’s the best system (having one single exam determining one’s future), i really admire how the whole country comes together to support these students in any way possible!

i think the gaokao is the worst decision chinese education has made. the gaokao is the exam that determines the rest of your life it does not matter if you put in hours of studies if you cant performe well in the exam hall all that work gose down the drain say bye to the college and future that was planned out most likey by your parents beacuse jobs are a strategic move in the country with so many people most people who graduate so even if you do pass is it actually worth it? lets say you dont pass why not retake it okay easy they spend an extra year of high school extra year an critism more anxiety eats you up maybe you pass that year maybe you dont but your old peers are already ahead of you the new ones are brighter sharper younger. since you were young you are told about the most important day of your life however this important day is not a happy ocasion its a time ticking bomb that holds your future. okay you hear this and dont wanna take the gaokao absolutely fine you leave education with only a middle school dimploma in an overpopulated country what will this do for you? so instead of critsising those who take the gaokao i want YOU TO THINK about the misery distress and hardship they went through simply to be seen as worthy

dawg as someone who has fucked up on my biggest testing day (ACT) this type of rhetoric is exactly why students feel so much pressure and make small mistakes. i would literally b shitting my pants if i had to takw that exam!!!!

nahh bro, those students also spent 3 months imprisoned, constantly studying for the exam, and a small accidental mistake would not let someone like the government easily let it go

You're studying so hard that everything else basically gets drowned out, Remember people always say its more efficient to focus on one thing than multitask and yet they wonder why some are great in one thing and are clumsy on a different thing.
