first of all you don't plant bamboo seeds. bamboo seeds only have a life span of 2 days and they don't propagate well. you plant bamboo rhizomes and for them to get that big those rhizomes are over ten years old.

Total bullshit. It takes 3-6 weeks for bamboo seeds to germinate. It can take a couple of years for bamboo to establish its root system- once established, though, it’ll grow 3’in a day.
