I don’t think y’all realized how important it was to be nonviolent Malcolm X was going to get people killed and was gonna start a war the only way for things to change was for white people to feel sympathy and realize that Black people are people too, but when you’re being violent, the government can just change your messaging with agendas but if you’re singing dancing, marching that he can’t change your message because it’s nonviolent

I don’t think yall fully realize why MLK encouraged non violent protest. They already wanted to kill us. If we went out ripping and running, every protest would have been a bloodbath. The goal was to keep people alive

It’s not one or the other; Malcom X and King were both vital to the Civil Rights Movement. Both messages loudly resonated and it made America come to terms with the fact that they had to choose Civil Rights or violence
