I disagree. A real friend or partner that loves you will challenge you to grow and become a better version of yourself. Accepting people as they are if they’re acting out or doing hurtful things and just accepting it for who they are is not love. It’s spiritual bypassing. True love requires accountability, not passivity.

I respectfully disagree. If someone loves you, they will change you. They will bring out in you what you didn't have the courage to reveal yourself. They will applaud you in public and correct you sternly in private. They won't tell you what you want to hear, but what you need to hear to become the best version of yourself.
