Here is the full submission: “I was at a tier 1 investment bank working 40h+, pay was OK but not for how demanding the job was and how much we were raking in for the company. Meanwhile, I lived with interns working at a much smaller company for 30h/week yet got paid substantially more than me. I mentioned this once at a work event, as people were talking about how pay could be better, a colleague (he was the type to drink the corporate kool-aid) seemed offended by this and then said to me in a stern loud voice "Have you seen Top Gun?! Our company is Top Gun on the market! So you have to ask yourself: Are you in Top Gun, or not?"”
