@functify.learning: Exams don’t always go as planned, and for adult learners, a tough result can shake your confidence- often for reasons beyond your control. In today’s social media world, where only the successes are spotlighted, it’s easy to feel like you’re the only one struggling. But remember: setbacks are a normal part of everyone’s journey. Failing an exam does not determine your abilities or future. If you’re feeling discouraged or alone right now, know that you’re in good company- many accomplished people, including J.K. Rowling and Oprah Winfrey, have faced failures along the way. Give yourself space to process, regroup, and create achievable goals. Let’s change the conversation about exam mishaps and lift each other up. Have you ever overcome a setback like this? What helped you move forward? Share your experiences or tips below- you could inspire someone who needs encouragement today. #adulteducation #adultlearner #gcse #functionalskills #functionalskillslevel2

I dropped out of college at age 24 because I was failing maths too much. It took me ages to pass level 1 functional skills maths because of my poor maths comprehension, and anxiety. I eventually passed with some support, I then did GCSE maths foundation and gotta grade 2 at the end of it because I wasn’t confident passing it the first time. I did Functional Skills Maths Level 2, but I still didn’t pass, I gave up. It was doing me no good.
