My mom delivered twins at 43.5 weeks. I’m baby A 7lbs 3ozs and baby B 6lbs 13ozs. Also this was back in 1983.

Why tho? I’m almost 34 weeks pregnant with twins. My OB won’t let me go past 38 weeks, higher risk for complications with mom or stillbirth.

No always a c section! Keep on going! I DELIVERED TWO Sets of Twins 13 Months apart! Baby b of set 2 was also delivered breech!!

I was shocked when my OB mentioned it was time to schedule my c-section that would happen at 38 weeks! I had just had my singleton the year before and was NOT expecting that! I declined and said I was hoping for a natural delivery (in the hospital). In the end I ended up with a “non emergency but unexpected” c-section at 37W2D anyway but I wish the push for automatic c-section wasn’t a thing!

I was so grateful for the encouraging doctors who walked with me through my fears of vaginal twin birth and encouraged me and reassured along the way! I had an induction due to IUGR at 36+5, born 36+6 in only 4 pushes total and to this stay still feels like my most badass accomplishment! Wishing you a safe and healthy delivery!
