I hated how the tv show made it seem like Percy initiated the cheating…whereas in the book, Charlie clearly did.

I just learned that Sam already knows in the book and why does this change feel so similar to TSITP changing Jeremiah not knowing about Susannah when in the book he knew the whole time? Lol same reason for the change too, it ups the drama and stakes

I really wanted to like this show!! Especially because Prime pumped it up so much. For me it just fell flat. I couldn’t get into it or I couldn’t feel Percy and Sam’s chemistry. I don’t know I just didn’t like it.

As someone from Ontario, specifically Muskoka. I was sooo annoyed they changed the location. BC is beautiful but not the same vibe. I was so excited to see cottage life represented in Ontario and not just the typical Toronto we see all the time. I get changes for tv but they made wayyy too many.

This is NOT TSITP and yet they turned it into something that closely tried to resemble that. Charlie keeping that secret and Sam not knowing really changes their characters IMO. This was a miss for me.

I actually liked all the changes from the book, and I felt like they were necessary to expand the world and potentially set up more seasons. If they’d stuck strictly to the book, it wouldn’t have felt as expansive, and since we’d already know all the details, there’d be less to discover. For me, the changes were 1000% necessary, and I think the writers did a fabulous job

Im Canadian- met my husband in the same area as Bary’s Bay. Its very special changing the location in the storyline isn’t beneficial. In fact it makes it less special.

I didn’t like that the show heavily watered down the scene where Sam returns from his summer intensive compared to the book. I was also disappointed by how the show altered Sam and Percy's post-funeral scene 😭

I haven’t read the books but I watched the first two episodes and not sure I can get into more. It feels so similar to TSITP, the chemistry between all characters is flat and the acting feels forced.

I get why they did it, but I did not like them changing the part of where Sam knew. I also hated how rushed it had to be bc of only 8 episodes. I didn’t mind the change of Sue leaving the tavern to Percy.
