@inspector_fletch: 🚨 Builder Logic: “Close enough!” 🚨 Bathroom exhaust fan? Check. Roof vent terminal? Check. Actually connected together? ❌ Nope. This bathroom vent was screwed directly to the roof decking… about 6 inches away from the vent it was supposed to connect to. So instead of exhausting moisture outside, it was dumping it straight into the attic. 🤦♂️ Think anyone was going to mention that at the final walkthrough? 😅 That’s why inspections matter. We find the things hiding behind the things. #dontdothat #homeinspection #newconstruction #builderfail #atticinspection
Look I did my job. I don’t care where the hole was cut. I followed the actual blueprint. You will have to talk to the team that cut the holes. No one gave them the revised plans. So, it’s not their fault. The person distributing the plans did not have the hole cutters on their list. The list makers did not know there was a separate team that cut holes. It wasn’t on the original build documentation. Congratulations! You now understand how corporations and governments work. It’s really no ones fault. They aren’t out to get you personally. It’s just a large dysfunctional organization.

I bet they screwed it there just to hold it there. cut the hole and they meant to put it into the hole and forgot to put it in the hole.
