@fox4newsdallasfortworth: Two British construction companies were fined about $105,000 after a worker suffered serious injuries when he fell through an “almost invisible” skylight while on the job in West Yorkshire. This footage, newly released by the UK government’s Health and Safety Executive (HSE), shows 26-year-old worker James Cranswick falling through the skylight while installing scaffolding equipment on a warehouse roof on January 14, 2025. According to the agency, Cranswick was “lucky to be alive.” He broke an arm and a leg and suffered a head injury in the 20-foot (six-meter) fall onto the concrete floor, officials said. “No measures were in place to prevent the scaffolders falling from the edge of the unit, or through the fragile elements of the roof,” the HSE said. “The skylights of the unit were almost invisible to Mr Cranswick and he was unaware of any fragile elements of the roof.”
