@c5news: It started as a joke – but it went way too far. Dashcam footage appears to show the moment a Pasadena police officer shot her colleague at work. The footage begins with the driver pulling into a covered carpark as two colleagues in an SUV in front stand next to the open boot. One officer, then draws his pistol, pointing it at the approaching vehicle. After re-holstering his gun, the officer stands still for a few seconds, before gripping his upper arm, having been shot by the approaching officer. Other police officers nearby then rush to his aid. NBC News reported that the Pasadena Police Department of California called the ‘friendly fire’ incident, that took place in September 2025, “horseplay” and say it's being investigated by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Police Chief Gene Harris said, the wounded officer “has recovered from his injuries”, and warned: “Horseplay and failure to adhere to safety rules and standards of professional conduct will not be tolerated”. So an Officer shot another Officer after he put his gun away. Did they not notice it was a fellow Officer in full uniform ? But why would an Officer even point his gun at anyone as a joke. Surely they are trained to never point a gun at anyone unless absolutely necessary. And to out it down as Horseplay, unbelievable.

thats exactly why ypu dont use a gun as a toy if you have a need to use a gun you should respect it and remember that it has the power to take a life .... both those officers should be fired
