I hear you but the frontal lobe isn’t developed until your mid 20’s. 19 is an adult but still very young. Not to strip you of your adulthood, just saying there’s some nuance. It’s normal to still be navigating and learning most of those things at 18.

I feel like 18 is still a child today. The legal age of adulthood was set at a time where people were mature far younger because they had less privileged lives. There's nothing wrong with being privileged, you don't need to be a fully functioning adult by 18.

You do what you want to do. But don’t try to drag other people with you by saying they’re immature. When I was 18 I knew NOTHING, if I would have stayed with the partner I was with at that age I probably wouldn’t be here today.

Cooking and cleaning and shit dont make you an adult. I cook daily, do my laundry, work sometimes and overall operate like a quite functioning human but i dont feel like an adult. Im eighteen im a kid that is learning to be an adult. Not a fully formed adult. Though i do understand that some mature faster and have met people that have been actual functioning adults at eighteen but thats the exception and not the rule.
