I can’t eat chocolate without her coming to my mind. I still remember our first valentines together, It was a school day and I already went to the mall the night before to buy her this big basket of Lindt chocolate for her. She wore this brown-ish jacket I always thought she looked amazing in, and I took pictures of her holding the basket on the second floor of the school right before our first second period would start. Oh how I was excited to give it to her during my first period. I couldn’t pay a single bit of attention to my first class. She absolutely loved the gift, she took pictures of it when we got home, and even read the little note I had on for her. She gave me lots of things as well but my favorite thing was this jar of Hershey kisses that had paper pieces shaped like kiss marks with her actual kiss marks on them. I still have it on my shelf, and I still haven’t finished the chocolate in it. After the breakup I’ve tried to find the same warmth but it’s not the same, and it never will be. I’ve written so many poems about her, and each time I finish the poem I write her name on the paper so I don’t forget. I don’t want to forget.
