@kevinolearytv: Don’t buy your significant other something really expensive that they don't even know about, like a diamond necklace, or a watch, or a car, or a boat. How do you know they want that? The worst thing you can do is spend a whole bunch of money and come out of there, open up the box, and say, "Look at this, honey. I bought this for you." And they go, "I hate it." Sometimes it's better to consult with your significant other and buy it together. I know people want the element of surprise. It's a huge mistake, because the surprise to the downside really sucks.
