I walk around the house acting out all the characters and their dialogue. I just make it up as I go. Sometimes I’ll have a conversation that sparks an idea. Bonus tip 🌟Background music that feels like your book!

Wrote a fanfic, literally a quick fanfic about anything, I tend to gravitate towards whatever genre I’m writing about because I tend to start out with my fic/short story and then realize I could use a lot of what I just created for X chapter or Y character and then I transition back to my main story

I put a bunch of random words in a colour picker (eg, murder, trees, rose, lips) and then whatever the picker lands on i write a scene that includes that word. alternatively i zone out and just imagine im a character for ages before scribbling stuff down
