Biggest red flag from any guy is saying any variation of they need it. Most of us enjoy it when there is actually an emotional connection, when we feel safe and secure. I just don’t understand men who think they need it for whatever bull reason they say.

I had to tell the dude who groomed me he, in fact, did not *need* sex. He guilted me constantly. He had a f---ing hand. hell. he had two. I told him I was ace when I was 13. I'm demi and still very avoidant of anything of the sort at 22. I used to write and read smut and now i can't even look at it because of the trauma I experienced

even though my grandma was overall a terrible person to be raised by one of the few good things about her was that she has always been extremely s3x positive, and I feel really privileged to have gotten to be raised in a household where I was never ashamed for something like that and actually was very aggressively encouraged to participate and experiment, because to put a politely grandma was a freak back in the day, probably still would be if it wasn't for her bad hips, and when I was younger and I didn't really have that much interest in that sort of thing she was shocked because she couldn't imagine anybody male or female not enjoying it

Really appreciate this take. I’ve been thinking about how capitalists use religion to indoctrinate us into patriarchal gender roles so that they can exploit working-class men for their productive labour, while externalizing the costs of maintaining and reproducing the workforce through their unpaid domestic, care, community, and reproductive labour. The nuclear family isolates women and children, and makes women economically dependent on men. Her survival is dependent on, and her reproduction is controlled by her father, her husband, and the state. We are exploited for our reproduction. We are placed in a position where instead of following our natural fertility cycle, they can force us to have children as soon as we start having our first period and breed us against our will, our health, and our well-being. It’s because they need us to make more workers for the capitalists, soldiers for the state, and girls to become wives, mothers, or sexworkers. This is why they are making it more difficult for women to get reproductive healthcare that gives them control over their own reproduction. This is all so diabolical. Patriarchy inverses reality.
