My son (14) returned from church camp on Friday. He was telling me what he learned. Calming the storm. I told him I doubt God daily. God is greater than any problem. I also told him GOD has ALWAYS supplied all my needs. We both got a lesson.

I think it’s even. Pretending is exhausting. It takes a lot of work to pretend and keep up with the aesthetic of having a relationship. Putting in the work and time of cultivating a real personal relationship also takes a lot of work. It’s a different type of hard though.

This is such a great observation. I had a “trying” night a few days ago. The tears were flowing, the emotions were all over the place, and the doubts were trying to creep in. But my prayers were still genuine. And then I turned on a few of your songs, and I felt that strength coming back.
