@alphazabasia: DIY Fog Chiller for Just $24 – Build It in 15 Minutes! Looking for a simple and budget-friendly way to create low-lying fog for your Halloween setup or party? Here’s a super-easy fog chiller you can build in about 15 minutes! What You’ll Need: • 5-gallon bucket • HVAC Premium 3" Aluminum Flexible Air Duct Pipe – 25 ft (available on Amazon) • Ice (regular or dry ice) Total Cost: Around $24 How to Build It: 1. Cut two 3½-inch holes near the bottom of the bucket, directly across from each other. The larger hole allows the hose to slide in more easily—no need to get too precise here. And don’t worry about sealing the holes; the fog stays inside the ducting. 2. Thread one end of the aluminum ducting through the first hole. 3. Coil the tubing along the inside wall of the bucket, spiraling upward. I did three full loops. 4. Feed the end of the tubing straight back down through the center of the coils, under the bottom loop, and out the second hole. 5. Fill the bucket with ice and let it chill for a few minutes. 6. Done! Run your fog machine through the tubing and enjoy the eerie, ground-hugging fog. A Few Extra Tips: • I’ve used dry ice in the past for extra chill, but regular ice works just fine. • If you are using regular ice, you can drill a few small drainage holes in the bottom of the bucket to help with meltwater runoff. It’s simple, cheap, and works great. Questions and or suggestions welcome.
