@hanzalasfilms: vasectomy is a minor surgical procedure used as a permanent form of male contraception. During the operation, the vas deferens the two tubes that transport sperm from the testes to the urethra are cut, sealed, blocked, or otherwise interrupted to prevent sperm from entering the semen. The procedure is typically performed under local anesthesia and usually takes less than 30 minutes. Small openings are made in the scrotum to access the vas deferens, which are then isolated and occluded using surgical techniques such as cutting, tying, cauterization, or clipping. After a vasectomy, the testes continue to produce sperm and testosterone normally. However, the sperm can no longer travel into the ejaculate and are naturally broken down and reabsorbed by the body. Because sperm may remain in the reproductive tract for some time after surgery, additional contraception is required until follow-up testing confirms the absence of sperm. A vasectomy changes the pathway of sperm not hormone production, sexual function, or the ability to produce semen.#virel #MedSchoolLife #vasectomy #medical #medicalimformation
