Literally bootcamp is a place to train so either way if u bring all that extra things u won’t be able to look presentable. U can’t bring ur own boots cause they will make u use theirs, they will issue u the necessary equipment for training and to help with the blister just buy the patches.

Don’t bring 90% of that crap, just bring a lock, pens, a notebook. Pack light bcuz they’re gonna give you so much crap and you’ll have to stuff it all into two bags. Just pack light and have your family send you stuff as you need it or you’ll also have the chance to go to the troop store every couple of weeks.- this was from a more strict osut, most basic/osut/ait have more freedoms than we had

Do what you can to get a Real ID before you ship, and a passport is invaluable if you get to go overseas (not deployment). Allows you to travel unencumbered.
