I’m actually gonna slightly disagree here. I found the more quick and subtle wrist evasions really helpful. Being a young woman in a male dominated field, I get a lot of men grabbing my wrist in a way that’s obviously them showing off authority or strength but not actually threatening (yet). Unfortunately these are not situations where a punch is appropriate, so having a way to quickly step out of their grasp without much effort is faster and safer than making a whole scene
